Nap time

It’s getting hard to sleep through the night.  If it’s not my full bladder, then it’s too difficult to get comfortable in bed.  I’ve been tossing and turning a lot and then waking up around 3 or 4am, and this morning after getting a little more sleep I finally got up around 6am.  I ate [...]

It’s called Spruce, www.sprucesf.com.  The outside has no signs, but once you walk in you’re immediately impressed with it’s ultra modern interior and beautiful decor.  I felt totally underdressed, so I’ll have to come back another [...]

Borsch

I love borsch, a traditional Russian/Ukrainian soup with beef, cabbage, beets, potatoes, carrots, and union as main ingredients.  We actually grew up with a very similiar version in Taiwan, minus the beets and thus the red color.  I found two recipes online and combined them to make my own version a month ago, and it turned [...]

I’m a new member of the CHP

So on Saturday night we are coming home to SF from spending some time with my parents walking around Santana Row in San Jose. It was a movie-esk moment… so indulge me as I compose it in script format.
