Happy New Year 2009!
Ari is 11-months-old today!
Some Ari updates:
- pulling himself up whenever he can and getting into all corners of the house, making cooking extremely challenging for mom (see last two pictures below)
- FINALLY sleeping through the night (11-12 hours) consistently without night feeds after 10 1/2 months
- loves to feed himself whole blueberries and big chunks of avocado but [...]

More Sleep Finally
Yea! Â In the past few nights Ari has pretty much been “sleeping through the night”, going 10 hours or so without a feeding. 9-month Update
We had our 9-month appointment yesterday, and here are Ari’s stats:
Weight: 25lb
Length: 29 3/4 inches
Head: 18 1/4 inches
He’s now proportional, 90+ percentile in both weight and length. He army-crawls quickly now around the house. The pediatrician told me to start giving him solids before milk, and to give him chunks of food rather than puree [...]
Two more teeth
This morning my mom found that Ari’s two upper front teeth have cut through. Ah-ha! One possible reason why he has been such a poor sleeper lately. Today he had two 2-hour naps! Hopefully he’ll be sleeping better and longer at night now so we can both be more rested.

Ari is crawling!!!
At 8 1/2 months, after weeks of rocking on his hands and knees and pushing himself backwards, Ari finally made his first crawling forward move today! He was first pulling himself towards my feet, then we used a cell phone to motivate him. He looked so cute!! My little worm. I wonder [...]
Sleep through the night
Tuesday night (9/16/08) marked a new phase in Ari’s sleep pattern - he is starting to sleep through the night! That day he went down at 8:30pm and no feeding until 6:45am. On the following three nights he went down between 8 and 9pm and didn’t eat again until after 5am. At [...]

Yup one more tooth came out! No wonder I haven’t been getting good sleep the last few nights… *yawn* We tried to take pictures of Ari’s two bottom teeth today but he wouldn’t let us. Oh well. I’m sure they’ll show up in pictures soon…
