User Experience (UX) Design Intensive (1 day)
The software user experience is the only thing that matters as far as the customer is concerned. Most apps fail because they don’t solve a painful problem, are confusing, complex, and are missing the magical elements of customer delight. This day-long workshop does not require any technical or design skills. It contains two lectures on design, user experience, and personas followed by guided individual and team assignments. Each attendee will go through hands-on exercises creating user personas, app use cases, and interface designs. They will then learn to present their ideas clearly to others and form groups to experience working as a product team.
Demo Day Ready Startup Pitching (2 day)
Pitching is a fundamental skill for startup founders that is both an art and science. Good presenters are not born but are trained. A well crafted pitch can be the difference between putting the audience to sleep and being the hot startup investors fight over. Vitaly’s techniques have earned him the “Pitch Doctor” nickname. He has taught at some of the world’s leading accelerators, including 500 Startups. His students have raised millions of dollars from investors and won numerous startup competitions. In this two day intensive, Vitaly works with up to 10 teams to nail their startup pitch. The workshop includes an extended lecture on strategy, pitch content, and body language. Each startup will practice presenting multiple times, receive in depth critiques, and homework along with videos of their presentations.
